  • End of School Year Clean Out at Lu Sutton Elementary
  • ​Rancho Family Garden Work Day and Community Meetings
  • Hamilton Garden Work Days, Breaking lots of ground with The Hills Church
  • Final SMS watershed lessons of the year
  • Last day of school! 
  • Starting our summer watering and garden support schedule
  • Garden Harvest Days at Pleasant Valley and Olive Elementary

  • Ceilidh’s fellow-led event greening the front of Loma Verde with Girls on the Run
  • Work days with Stefan at the bioswale
  • Volunteer days at the Pleasant Valley Food Garden, the Hamilton Garden, and the Rancho Family Garden
  • Duxbury Reef Field Trip!
  • Walk and roll days and Earth month prizes for our winning schools (including a compost craze dance party)!

  • Tabling at the School Fuel Community Fair and the Clean Energy Expo
​April 2026: Earth Month! ​
  • Fellows led 4 Earth month competitions between seven schools! ​​​
  • SMS partnered with Recology, MCSTOPPP, and CNPS to give presentations on watershed health, zero waste systems, and native plants
  • Fellows led watershed lessons and activities with funding from the Rose Foundation and San Francisco Baykeeper
  • Morgan hosted a Garden Educator Get Together
  • SMS held work days at Lynwood, Hamilton, and the Rancho Family Garden
  • Fellows presented a poster about the Loma Verde Bioswale at the North Bay Watershed Association Conference
  • SMS hosted Listos CA emergency preparedness sessions in Spanish at Lu Sutton, Olive, Lynwood, and San Ramón
​March 2026:
  • Ten Strands & CalRecycle Tour
  • Leading emergency preparedness workshops in English and Spanish at Loma Verde, Lu Sutton, and Rancho
  • Teaching food waste lessons with Ms. Robles' fifth graders at Rancho Elementary
  • Junior botany classes with educator Mimi Wagoner-Reddick during the YMCA afterschool programs at Lynwood and Hamilton each week
  • Work days at the Loma Verde bioswale, Pleasant Valley food garden, the Rancho courtyard and family garden, and the One Hamilton Garden​
